We are seeking an experienced Metal Finishing Technician to join a prestigious overhaul and repair facility with over 60 years of expertise in the aerospace sector.

Based in Ramsgate, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality standards for aircraft components for renowned global airlines, helicopter operators, and airframe manufacturers.


Role Overview
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Metal Finishing Team Leader or Supervisor to handle day-to-day operations in the Metal Finishing section.

Responsibilities include:

 


  • Electroplating a variety of aircraft components using processes such as Cadmium, Nickel, Chrome, Silver, Tin, Copper, and Phosphate.
  • Overseeing and managing stock levels for chemicals and consumables.
  • Performing daily, weekly, and monthly control checks.
  • Ensuring the functionality and maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised work environment in line with 5S standards.
  • Upholding compliance with EASA, FAA, and company-specific quality procedures.
  • Adhering to Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, particularly within the plating bay.

What You’ll Bring


  • Background: Experience in engineering or metal finishing is preferred; experience in aviation is a plus.
  • Skills: Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety, alongside strong teamwork abilities.
  • Tech Skills: Basic computer skills for managing records and documentation.
