Service Care Solutions is working alongside an employee-focused local authority, based in Leicestershire, which needs a Governance Lawyer to join their team on a part-time basis.

In this key position, you will provide expert legal advice and support on governance, constitutional matters, and related legal issues.

This role can pay an hourly rate of £70 - £80 umbrella.

This assignment has been confirmed on a three-month rolling basis and requires office attendance once very couple of weeks.

The Responsibilities Of The Governance Lawyer Role:

• Draft and review governance documents, including constitutions, policies, and procedures.


• Provide legal advice on decision-making processes, public law, and local government regulations.


• Assist with complex legal queries and contribute to governance improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• Holds a qualification as a solicitor, barrister, or chartered legal executive.


• Has proven experience in governance, public law, or local government legal work.


• Is available to work 20 hours per week, with attendance at the office required.
