Job Description

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a Chartered Accountancy for an Audit Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.

The role consists of supporting the Corporate Department by conducting company audits from planning through to completion, under the supervision of the Audit Manager.

Main responsibilities

• Serve as the audit senior on engagements, leading audits from planning to completion.


• Conduct site visits at client premises, supervising and supporting junior team members during these visits.


• Oversee the work of junior audit team members, ensuring quality and accuracy, and report findings to the Audit Manager.


• Plan the audit process, conduct research, review existing client processes, and provide recommendations for policy and procedure enhancements.


• Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for non-audit SMEs.


• Report directly to the Audit Manager or Partner as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified ACA or ACCA with at least 2-3 years of audit experience.


• Understanding of audit and accounting standards, particularly FRS 102, FRS 105, and the Companies Act 2006.


• Basic knowledge of corporation tax and income tax is desirable, with knowledge of charity accounting being an advantage.


• Basic skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with familiarity in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero.


• Knowledge of accounts production software like CCH is desirable but not essential.


• Ability to show initiative, supervise and review the work of junior staff.


• Strong skills in building and maintaining good client relationships.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues at various levels.
