Street Homeless Team Manager


We are transforming our homelessness service to improve prevention, reduce temporary accommodation, and end street homelessness.

Our new Housing Advisory Service is committed to delivering sustainable housing outcomes for Enfield residents through innovative services, including data-driven early intervention, community outreach, specialist practice teams, and a street homelessness service.

We are seeking proactive, outcome-focused individuals to join our Street Homelessness Service.

Our ambitious goal: to end rough sleeping in Enfield.


Outreach Team Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the London Borough of Enfield Street Homeless Team as an Outreach Team Manager.


THE ROLE
Lead and manage a team dedicated to ending rough sleeping in Enfield.

Key responsibilities include:



  • Support officers in reducing rough sleeping in Enfield.

  • Engage with individuals who are homeless, with complex needs, and are street homeless or at risk of becoming street homeless.

  • Collaborate with internal and external agencies to provide comprehensive support.

  • Develop performance targets and quality control measures for the team, ensuring they are met.

  • Set clear objectives, hold individual supervisions regularly, and ensure good communication through team meetings and briefings.



Additional Responsibilities:



  • Induct and plan the development of new and existing staff, ensuring PDRs are undertaken.

  • Manage the team workload to ensure adequate cover at all times.

  • Ensure the health and safety of team members, implementing office safety procedures and lone working policies.

  • Define and review staff roles to support project aims and objectives.

  • Operate the London Borough of Enfield's disciplinary and grievance procedures as needed.



THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for a passionate individual with a "can do" attitude who is committed, resilient, empathetic, and skilled in working with and reporting data.

Key requirements include:



  • Experience in managing a small team.

  • Strong leadership and management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proven ability to work with complex needs and vulnerable individuals.

  • Experience in collaborating with multiple agencies and stakeholders.



Additional Skills and Experience:



  • Passion for working with people and making a difference.

  • Ability to monitor CHAIN records, ensuring accurate contact and assessment records.

  • Maintain constructive working relationships within the council and with external groups.

  • Develop shift patterns that reflect rough sleeping patterns in Enfield.

  • Proactive promotion of service awareness within the community.



THE CONTRACT



  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

  • 3 months, potential temp to perm
