Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a thriving local authority, based in Lincolnshire, which is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor/Lawyer to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support in all aspects of adult social care law.

ROLE: Adult Social Care Lawyer

RATE: £50-£55ph

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3-6 months ongoing

LOCATION: Lincolnshire - remote working, court in person

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Service Director and Head of Legal Services in the delivery and improvement of services and business strategies


• Represent the council in all adult social care related proceedings


• Handle a mixed caseload of Adult Social care law.
  
  This included but is not limited to: All aspects of advice and support under Care Act 2014; Court applications in the Court of Protection under the Mental Capacity Act 2005; Mental Health Law including advice to AMHPs and associated court applications; Adult safeguarding; Ordinary residence issues and disputes between other local authorities

Specific Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive with 2+ years of PQE in Adult Social Care law


• Someone who has worked for an Adult Social Care legal team for a local authority


• Someone who is committed to the running of the team and will assist with any duties necessary
