Senior Early Years Assistant
An excellent new opportunity has arisen for a committed EYFS Practitioner to work in a leading preparatory school based in the Birmingham, West Midlands area.
You will be working for one of the top performing preparatory schools in West Midlands
This is an independent preparatory school for children aged 4 to 11 that prides itself on the creation of well-rounded individuals, by instilling a set of values that will carry them far in life
As the EYFS Practitioner your key duties include:
- Create a nurturing, inspiring and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to thrive
- Work alongside the Early Years team to deliver engaging activities and experiences that spark curiosity, creativity and development
- Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families, recognising parents and carers as key partners in each child's learning journey
- Observe, celebrate and share children's achievements, contributing to assessments, learning journeys and individual development
- Prepare and maintain stimulating, welcoming learning environments, including resources, classroom displays and learning materials
- Support the smooth and safe running of the nursery, including staffing ratios, playtimes, lunchtimes and before- and after-school care when required
- Champion equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring every child feels respected, represented and able to participate fully
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including events, productions, Open Days, staff development and collaborative work with the Early Years team
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- A proven record of high-class delivery of Early Years Education
- Outstanding knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework
- Competent ICT skills
- Experience of working in a similar setting
- Experience of working with children in a voluntary capacity
- Experience of working with children beyond an Early Years setting

*To be considered for this position you must hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare or equivalent + Paediatric First Aid qualification

The successful EYFS Practitioner will receive an excellent salary of £12.93 - £14.03 per hour and the annual salary is up to £27,358.50 per annum.
This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week on days.
