About the Role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join an established and creative kitchen team at a stunning wedding and events venue.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of culinary experience, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation standards.
As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service, efficient team performance, and consistent delivery of outstanding dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency and high standards throughout service.
- Assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating to deliver dishes of the highest quality.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development, seasonal offerings, and creative presentation.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen team members.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering and inventory management.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
- Contribute to smooth service during busy periods, ensuring timely and professional delivery.
About You
- Proven experience in a similar role within a high-volume or fine dining environment.
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience within a kitchen team.
- Strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques and kitchen best practices.
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
