Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a thriving local authority, based in Devon, which is in need of an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their team.

As an Employment Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing legal advice in relation to Employment Law, policy, governance and appearing as an advocate for the Council in Court and at tribunals.

ROLE: Employment Lawyer - local authority

RATE: £55-£60ph

LOCATION: Devon - remote working (preference to attending hearings and tribunals)

CONTRACT LENGTH: 12 month contract

Key Responsibilities

• Handle you own Employment law caseload from start to completion


• Deal with matters in relation to Employment Law regarding both contentious and non-contentious employment matters


• Assisting more junior members of the team when required

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with experience in Employment Law


• Ideally someone who has worked for a local authority within an Employment legal team


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
