Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Leicestershire, for a Financial Advisor to join their team.

Job Description

• Require innovative and dynamic individuals with a working knowledge of school's financial management system, for example SIMS FMS, ACCESS.


• A clear understanding of school financial management processes,


• An enthusiasm and passion to enable schools to understand school budgets.


• Meet statutory requirements and provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.


• Flexible working hours full time, part time, term time.
  
  
  The successful candidates must have a 'can do' attitude, an ability to work on their own supporting several different school-based staff and to be an integrated member of the School Financial Advisor Team.


• Postholder may be required to attend training, seminars, and conference in line with their role and carry our necessary training courses.


• Due to the nature of the role successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Finance qualifications equivalent to NVQ Level 4

Experience

• Demonstrate bookkeeping/accounting experience.


• Experience of working in school office using SIMS accounting


• Experience of working spreadsheets


• Evidence of current working knowledge of computing and operating accounting packages


• Knowledge of school or County Council budgets and accounting procedures.


• Good standard of computing skills, time management and interpersonal communication.
