Mental Health Support Worker

Service Care Solutions are currently seeking empathetic and dedicated Support Workers to join our acute mental health services team in Ipswich.

In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises, helping them to achieve stability and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide one-on-one support to individuals with acute mental health needs in various settings

  • Assist in the development and implementation of personalised care plans, focusing on the specific needs and goals of each individual.

  • Promote a safe, therapeutic environment that encourages positive interactions and recovery.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided and progress made.


Qualifications and Skills:



  • Previous experience in a Mental Health Support Worker role

  • A compassionate and patient demeanour with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent are advantageous.
