Average of two shifts per week, primarily weekends with some late shifts (2pm - 10pm)
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Worker to provide housing-related support to young people aged 16-30.

You will work within a skilled team to assist young people in navigating housing, education, and employment options, while respecting their autonomy and right to make their own decisions.

This temporary role requires flexibility in shift patterns, predominantly covering weekends and occasional late shifts.
Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide high-quality support to young people, helping them navigate housing, education, and employment opportunities.

  • Respect and promote the right of young people to make their own decisions.

  • Work collaboratively with young people to develop personalized support and safety plans.

  • Manage risks and challenging behaviors effectively.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of support provided.


Essential Requirements:



  • Previous experience in a similar role within supported housing settings, working with young people, care leavers, or those experiencing homelessness.

  • Strong skills in managing risk, challenging behaviors, and creating support and safety plans.

  • Valid driver's license, own vehicle, and business insurance.

  • Enhanced DBS certification for working with adults.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.



The Package
This is a temporary, Support worker role, for an initial 3 months, covering the recruitment process for a permanent team member, meaning the role could be extended, or become permanent.
