Nursery Manager

Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of an excellent well-established Nursery who are looking to recruit a Nursery Manager for their setting based near Sunningdale, Ascot.

The ideal Nursery Manager candidate will need to maintain strong organisation skills and attention to detail and display resourcefulness to ensure the setting has the right culture, policies and resources to deliver the high standards of childcare and early years education expected by parents, Ofsted, and in accordance with the companies values

Main duties and responsibilities

·        Conducting thorough risk assessments of the nursery environment and effectively ensures that relevant Health and Safety legislation is adhered to at the setting

·       Organise and run monthly team meetings

·       Deputise to the Safeguarding Lead to ensure that all safeguarding and compliance issues are effectively managed

·       Oversee and operate a programme of suitable learning and play activities in line with the EYFS to foster the growth, happiness and development of every individual child.

·        Ensuring the highest standards of childcare are delivered at the setting

·        Conducting regular staff supervisions, and creates plans for staff development

·        Delivering high setting occupancy, promoting the setting through local marketing

·        Hiring and developing top talent

·        Improving financial performance year over year

·        Building an effective parent engagement strategy, creating links between home and the setting.

·       Supervise and provide peer feedback, guidance and training to teachers, students, trainees and others on work placements or work experience in order that they receive the appropriate support.

Give guidance and establish relationships with colleges and schools as necessary in order that their activities are coordinated.
