Oncology Lead Clinical Pharmacist

A leading Surrey hospital for elective healthcare services is now looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist specialising in oncology to join them within their first-class cancer care unit.

Fully “Good”-rated by the CQC, the hospital offers independent medical and surgical care across diverse clinical specialties to patients from Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex and beyond.

Their state-of-the-art oncology unit has seen intensive investment and offers an ultra-modern environment for comprehensive cancer treatment.

The MDT provides SACT, radiotherapy and associated services (both curative and palliative) across 9 rooms and 6 pods for a wide range of presentations, including breast, lung and GI cancers, lymphomas, myeloma, and tumours of the head and neck.

The team are proud to have achieved BUPA Breast Care, Bowel Care, and Living Well with Cancer accreditations and a 5-star Macmillan Quality Environment Mark.

As an Oncology Lead Clinical Pharmacist, you will lead and manage the delivery of SACT within the unit.

You will assess, treat, and counsel patients through each treatment cycle to reach the best outcome possible, as well as support and advise your colleagues regarding best practice, medicines management, and service development within oncology care.

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5h) position for an Oncology Lead Clinical Pharmacist.

 

Person specification:


  • (Essential) MPharm, OSPAP or equivalent Pharmacy degree
  • (Essential) GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
  • (Essential) At least 2 years’ experience within oncology pharmacy
  • (Essential) Clinical Pharmacy diploma with hospital focus or equivalent experience
  • (Desirable) SACT passport
