Service Lead
40 hours per week, 8-4, 9-5 then the on-call hours 5pm-8am, 8am-8pm on a weekend

Primary Purpose of the Role:
The Service Lead is responsible for leading and managing a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, effective supported housing services and/or housing management services to various service user groups.

This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and financial targets while meeting the needs of service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver services in compliance with regulatory frameworks and quality standards.

  • Ensure all service user support and safety plans are in place and reflect individual needs.

  • Manage financial standards on voids, arrears, and re-lets while liaising with external agencies and partners.

  • Promote service user involvement in service design and delivery and manage the rota and on-call arrangements.

  • Set clear objectives and performance targets for each direct report and provide development and support.

  • Manage recruitment, attendance, conduct, and performance of direct reports.

  • Ensure safeguarding and risk management are integral to support work and financial targets are met.

Professional & Technical Expertise:

  • Responsible for at least one support contract and accountable budget holder for the service.

  • Ensure effective property management, adherence to health and safety requirements, and compliance with housing law.

  • Work in partnership with central teams on tenure management, compliance with arrears policy, and operational procedures.

Organizational Performance and Compliance:

  • Conduct initial and regular assessments of service users' needs and requirements, ensuring eligibility for the service.

  • Undertake health & safety checks, manage team performance targets, and contribute to identifying and developing bids for new business.

  • Maintain up-to-date records via relevant systems and comply with safeguarding and data policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid driver's license, own vehicle, and business insurance.

  • Enhanced DBS certification for working with adults.

The Package
This is a temporary, Service Lead role,40 hours per week for an initial 3 months, covering the recruitment process for a permanent team member, meaning the role could be extended, or become permanent.
