Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist

A leading special education provider for London and the South East is now looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide professional leadership to the OT provision as Clinical Lead, supporting learners based around the SW London border.

Established in 2013, the trust has since grown to provide holistic education services to over 1500 young people experiencing intrinsic barriers to learning including profound and multiple learning disabilities, sensory differences, SLCN, and complex medical histories.

Each education centre offers its students a personalised approach, intensive support, and integrated therapies for a comprehensive learning experience – championing respect, establishing strong foundations, and initiating access to life-changing opportunities – that brings out their full potential.

As Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, you will have management responsibilities for the occupational therapy professionals within the integrated therapy service.

You will have a base site in New Malden but may travel across sites for quality control purposes.

Travel expenses between sites will be subsidised.

This is a permanent position (Mon-Fri) with flexible working options; full-time (36h), part-time and term-time-only can be considered.

Visa sponsorship is available for a candidate with suitable UK-based experience.

 

Person specification:


  • (Essential) HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist (OT) and membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT)
  • (Essential) Previous experience within a supervisory, management or leadership role
  • (Essential) Previous experience with children / young people who have needs related to learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders
  • (Essential) Previous experience in an educational setting, with evidence of familiarity with Ofsted requirements
