Business Change Manager - Police

Job Title: Business Change Manager (BCM)
Pay: £500-£608 per day
Requirements: Candidates must hold Developed Vetting at time of application.


Job Purpose
The BCM will be responsible for providing support to the Business Change Leads in managing and developing the national Change Network.

This includes offering change management support, training, guidance, and assurance to minimise operational disruption and maximise benefits.
Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Business Change Leads to implement frameworks and toolkits, ensuring change interventions are effectively managed and benefits realised.

  • Manage and develop the national Change Network, collaborating with CT operational colleagues to ensure business change is planned, communicated, and implemented effectively.

  • Conduct rigorous assessments (e.g., change impact, readiness), recommending interventions to mitigate negative impacts and enhance positive outcomes.

  • Develop business change solutions to address barriers and ensure program/project objectives are achieved.

  • Collect and share insights from diverse stakeholders to enhance delivery and embedding.

  • Support Regional Change Teams to build their change management capability and ensure consistent use of tools and techniques.

  • Collaborate with HR and Communications to address people impacts and align change messaging.

  • Work with Benefits Manager to identify and address business change interventions to realise benefits.

  • Provide business change input for governance documents, business cases, and reports.

  • Develop and maintain the Business Change ‘Centre of Excellence' through continuous improvement.

Essential Experience

  • Experience in facilitating groups and resolving disputes.

  • Experience in managing business change in projects/programmes/portfolios.

  • Previous experience in (local) government, a security agency, or policing.


Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of CT Policing and its relationships with government, security, and intelligence agencies.

  • Certification in Prosci Practitioner and APMG Change Management.


Qualifications

  • Prosci Practitioner (to be completed within the first 6 months).

  • APMG Change Management: Practitioner (to be completed after 12-18 months).

  • Managing Successful Programmes: Foundation (desirable).

  • Certificate in Business Analysis: Foundation (desirable).

  • APMG Agile Change Agent (desirable).


Security Clearance Requirement


This role requires Live Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
