Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Senior Employment Lawyer to join their team on aa contract basis.

ROLE: Senior Employment Lawyer
LOCATION: East London
RATE: £40.00 to £45.00 per hour
CONTRACT: 3 months with possibility of extension

Please note that this position would be hybrid working (1 or 2 days in the office per week).

The Role of the Senior Employment Lawyer

• To support the Principal Employment Lawyer in in the management on strategy of Employment Law cases through to completion


• Conducting case management/ preliminary hearings.


• Instructing and liaising with counsel in relation to any tribunal proceedings where external legal counsel may be required.

The Person

• A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 2 years' PQE


• Previous experience of progressing full caseloads of employment law matters through to completion would be essential


• Experience of working within the employment law team of a public sector would be highly preferrable for this position
