A client within the Public Sector based in Nottinghamshire is currently recruiting for a Compliance Inspector to join their team as soon as possible.

The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a fire safety and asbestos management environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to provide support and advice and prepare and present reports relating to fire safety & asbestos management.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Respond to enquiries and provide professional / specialist advice and information.


• Provide help and support to the in-house repairs service as required.


• Ensure that services delivered result in all tenants and other customers, living in healthy and safe homes.


• Respond to enquiries, resolve problems and carry out technical inspections, as required.


• Act as a specialist secondary point of contact to the Compliance & Safety Manager for any major accidents and incidents, relating to fire safety & asbestos management, monitor developments and changes in regulation and legislation.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require experience of delivering compliance safety, in particular fire safety and asbestos management, within a social housing environment, at scale and which consistently meets targets.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Proven experience of effective procurement and contract management and successful delivery of a diverse range of property related contracts.


• Good budget management and budgetary control experience


• Proven experience of contributing towards the provision of outstanding customer focussed services

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £22.59 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
