Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Band 6 Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join the Unplanned Care Team in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
This agency role offers full-time hours and a competitive hourly rate of £27 per hour.
As part of the team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring urgent and unplanned care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional and compassionate nursing care to patients with acute and unplanned care needs.
- Perform clinical assessments, develop care plans, and provide interventions in line with best practices.
- Respond promptly to urgent patient needs, ensuring timely escalation and collaboration with other healthcare professionals as required.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and coordination of care across services.
- Administer medications, manage treatments, and monitor patient outcomes in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Provide health education and guidance to patients and their families, promoting self-care and recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in line with professional and organizational standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
- Proven experience working at Band 6 level in unplanned or urgent care settings.
- Strong clinical decision-making and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care.
Desirable:
- Experience working in community nursing, emergency care, or out-of-hours services.
- Knowledge of managing long-term conditions and complex patient needs.
Hours:
This is a full-time role requiring 37.5 hours per week.
Flexibility to work across various shifts may be required to meet service needs.
