Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of an East London local authority who are seeking a Housing Litigation Paralegal to join their team on a contract basis.

ROLE: Housing Litigation Paralegal
LOCATION: East London
RATE: £20 to £30 per hour LTD
CONTRACT: Initial 3 month with scope for extension

1 day office attendance per week required.

Key Responsibilities:

• To manage a caseload of pre-action disrepair cases under the Housing Conditions Protocol.


• To handle potential to handle gas warrant applications in the Magistrates' Court.


• Providing legal advice to the Asset Management Team.


• To support the Civil Litigation team under the supervision of the Principal Lawyer.

Requirements:

• LLB Degree or equivalent, or CILEX Trainee Lawyer (funded by HRA).


• Minimum 2 years of experience in legal services, ideally with housing disrepair cases.


• Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.
