Job Title: Housing Insurance Officer
Work Location: - London, SE1 (hybrid working)
Contract Type: Fixed Term 6 months
Weekly Hours: 35 Hours per week - Monday to Friday
Salary: £38000 to £42000 per annum, pro rata

Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance Officer to support in delivering a high-quality insurance management service.

This role is integral to mitigating risks and ensuring that our insurance processes are robust and effective

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement and management of insurance services, including tendering and renewing long-term agreements.


• Ensure comprehensive insurance cover and manage all claims efficiently and in a timely manner.


• Collaborate with various departments to enhance risk awareness and deliver necessary training.


• Maintain accurate records of claims and manage daily communications in the insurance mailbox.


• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including insurers, brokers, and legal representatives, to defend and investigate claims.


• Provide finance with monthly accruals of outstanding claims and spend.

Essential Criteria

• A degree or equivalent professional qualification.


• Membership of a relevant legal body and/or CII.


• Demonstrated experience in insurance within Property, Housing, Building, or Motor environments.


• Strong knowledge of insurance cover, claims procedures, and policy renewals.


• Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent communication, negotiation, and IT skills, particularly in MS Office.
