Job Description


Service Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Gloucestershire for a dedicated SAP Workstream Lead to join the team on a temporary basis.

This pivotal role involves transforming current support structures to enhance user experience, improve customer access, and streamline ways of working within the Council.



Main responsibilities



  • Review Current Support Model:

    • Analyse the existing support model, identifying technical and non-technical user pain points and opportunities for improvement.

    • Assess customer access and the impact on current ways of working.



  • Design New Support Services:

    • Collaborate with the Council to scope, design, and develop new common design principles for support services.

    • Develop both technical and non-technical support models tailored to the Local Authority's needs.



  • Functional Design Changes:

    • Identify essential functional design changes necessary to enable a new support model from day one.



  • Gap Analysis and Transition Planning:

    • Identify gaps in process, training, skills, capacity, technology, and change management required to meet the new operating model.

    • Develop a comprehensive project plan to transition to the new operating model and address identified gaps before the go-live date (March 25).



  • FutureRoadmap andEfficiencies:

    • Outline future roadmap activities and timelines to be managed post go-live for delivering Phase 2 of the new support services Target Operating Model (TOM).

    • Identify potential efficiencies, process improvements, and benefits that can be realized in both Phase 1 and Phase 2.





Candidate Requirements



  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Cloud ERP systems and related support requirements.

  • Experience with procurement processes, including familiarity with recent regulatory changes.

  • Strong understanding of SAP or ARIBA solutions.

  • Proven ability to lead workstreams focused on developing and implementing target operating models.

  • Excellent analytical skills to review current models and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Strong project management skills to ensure timely transition and implementation of new models.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders within the Local Authority
