Service Care Solutions are looking for a SEND Teacher Lead to work within the City of Doncaster Council on a permanent basis.

Location: Doncaster

Job role/responsibilities:
EPIC Learning aims to provide a crime and consequence programme for students aged 11 to 16 years.

It supports young people who find mainstream schooling difficult to engage with and who are at risk of exclusion or have been excluded due to anti-social behaviour.

• Delivering a broad, balanced, and designed curriculum to support young people's strengths and develop key skills and knowledge.


• Working with an experiential learning model.


• Delivering an intensive programme including core national curriculum (Maths, English, Science, Humanities and PSHE).


• Leading on the Planning, Speech and Language and Projects.


• Working with children of whom have either missed school or been excluded/close to being excluded from mainstream school.

Knowledge/Experience required:

• Experience working with students at secondary school age (10-16).


• Experience working in a SEND environment, delivering curriculum to children with a range of academic/behavioural issues.


• Understanding person with experience in de escalation of situations without utilising restraint techniques.


• Experience with Planning and Delivering lessons, working alongside Teacher Assistants.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
