Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Service Care Solutions are working with Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to recruit a Band 7 Paediatric Occupational in the Birmingham area.

The successful candidate will provide support to Children and Adolescents with a range of conditions.



The contract duration is for 3 months with the likelihood of extension.

This is a full-time placement with 37.5 hours available.

Part-time applications of 3 Days or more will also be considered.



Shifts: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30

Location: Moseley

Pay: £30.00 p/h LTD

Bonus: £250 Sign-Up Bonus

Job Purpose - Band 6 Occupational Therapist

The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, carrying a defined clinical caseload for individuals.

The successful candidate will provide Occupational Therapy for Children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage clinical caseload, monitor workload/treatment methods, and advise the Professional Clinical Lead on related issues.

  • Be accountable for all aspects of own work, including managing children on the caseload.

  • Support the Professional Clinical Lead in differentiating core and traded services, addressing related issues and processes.

  • Assess and reassess children's needs, provide diagnoses or contribute to diagnoses, and formulate treatment plans.

  • Create and evaluate care plans, modifying as necessary based on outcome measures.

  • Develop and deliver intervention packages for group and one-on-one therapy, aligned with core and traded care models.

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Professional Lead to develop intervention packages and supporting materials.

  • Provide highly specialist Occupational Therapy, partnering with other agencies to support the SEND Locality team in early identification of need.

  • Work within multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams to deliver specialist interventions according to service packages and pathways for early intervention.

  • Ensure children with additional needs access a broad and relevant education, meeting exceptional needs inclusively.


Requirements



  • Occupational Therapy qualification

  • HCPC Registration

  • Previous experience with C&YP
