We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tenancy and Estate Management Officer to join a team in Charnwood on a full-time temporary ongoing basis.

The Tenancy and Estate Management Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality tenancy and estate management services to our customers while upholding the vision and business objectives of the company.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within Social Housing / property/ tenancy sustainment

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and current issues within the housing sector, including the impact of homelessness

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and accessible manner

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines

  • Good working knowledge of statistical analysis, and understanding of financial issues

  • Knowledge of the Welfare Benefit system

Role Expectations

  • Ensure that customers remain at the heart of all services, delivering an excellent and responsive service to tenants and stakeholders alike

  • Work collaboratively within the Landlord Services Team, supporting colleagues, fostering mutual respect, and contributing to a well-motivated and empowered team environment

  • Actively engage with customers and stakeholders, promoting customer involvement and conducting estate walkabouts to address community needs and aspirations

  • Take ownership of the tenancy and estate management for designated housing areas, managing tenancies, ensuring compliance with conditions, and undertaking necessary actions regarding breaches of tenancy

  • Participate in reviews of tenancy and estate management strategies, policies, and procedures, contributing to the development and implementation of team objectives

  • Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and organizational provisions governing service delivery, including maintaining accurate housing information and managing information securely

  • Develop working relationships with colleagues, as well as key partners

  • Liaise with external partners, including local authorities and support agencies, and ensure effective service is delivered
