Housing Support Worker

Summary:



  • Assist in providing housing and support services for vulnerable clients.

  • Always maintain a professional and supportive approach.

  • Assist in the day-to-day delivery of services for supported schemes.

  • Help clients achieve their personalized support outcomes.



Strategy and Service Development:



  • Act as an initial point of reference on the phone or in a reception area as required.

  • Assist in providing a comprehensive housing management and support service, including working with tenancy agreements, rent collection, and charges.

  • Support clients to achieve agreed outcomes, considering their support needs.

  • Contribute to the formulation and delivery of person-centered support plans.

  • Assist clients with day-to-day support and tenancy issues.



Service Delivery:



  • Understand your role and be responsible for your contribution.

  • Emphasize a client-led approach and deliver your role effectively.

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary staff team and meet the requirements of a rota system.

  • Deliver a high standard of service to clients.

  • Use appropriate IT systems and maintain professional records.



Other Duties:



  • Provide a high-quality, customer-orientated service.

  • Review work outputs, set improvement targets, and appraise individual performance.

  • Participate in Divisional team work, encouraging innovation.

  • Undertake personal development and training to stay updated with legal, political, financial developments.

  • Ensure compliance with our clients Equality and Diversity policy.



Qualifications and Experience:



  • Valid driver's license, own vehicle, and business insurance.

  • Enhanced DBS certification for working with adults.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and engage in lone working situations.

  • Experience of working with vulnerable client groups.

  • Experience in housing management and/or social care environment.



The Package
This is a temporary, Housing Support worker role, 37.5 hours per week for an initial 3 months, covering the recruitment process for a permanent team member, meaning the role could be extended, or become permanent.
