Contact Officer

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Contact Officer to join a committed and supportive team for Stoke on Trent Council.

This will initially be a 3 month contract with the potential of this being extended.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help change the lives of children and young people.


Location: Stoke


Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week


Pay: £12.87 per hour


Responsibilities:



  • Observe and supervise the interactions between families and children attending contact.

  • Provide support, advice, guidance and safeguard the welfare of children and young people and provide regular feedback to families and carers.

  • Develop positive and professional relationships with children and their families/carers and professionals.

  • If required, to attend court to provide verbal evidence.

  • Attend meetings in relation to the service, children and families as appropriate.


Requirements:



  • A minimum NVQ 3 in working with children and families or equivalent experience of working with children and families.

  • Have unrestricted use of a car and a driving licence

  • Experience of direct work with children, their families, and carers in a statutory or voluntary agency which provides services to vulnerable children and their families.

  • Be flexible to work between the hours of 8.00am and 8.00pm including evenings and occasional weekends as needed on a rota basis.

  • Knowledge and understanding of child development.
