JOB TITLE: Finance Assistant


LOCATION: Surrey/Sussex HQ Mount Browne with flexible work options.


DEPARTMENT: Finance


WORKING HOURS: 36 hours (Surrey)/37 hours (Sussex), 5-day week, overtime or time off in lieu as agreed.


REPORTS TO: Finance Team Leader


JOB PURPOSE: To provide administrative support for transactional purposes within the Finance function, assisting in Purchase to Pay, Credit Control, and Cash & Income functions, offering real-time management information.


Key Accountabilities:



  • Administer Finance Operations transactions and processes on relevant systems.

  • Perform reconciliations to an auditable level as instructed.

  • Resolve queries and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Contribute to developing and maintaining processes, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Support training of new staff and their development.

  • Provide first-line customer-focused support for Finance Operations inquiries.

  • Set up and maintain Cost Centres.

  • Conduct data cleansing and maintenance of records within Finance Operations.

  • Support analysis of specific expenditure areas, identifying anomalies, and providing recommendations.

  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably required.
