Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm

We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join our team in Lambeth on a 3-month temporary basis.

As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering an integrated and customer-focused housing service to our tenants and leasehold customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Integrated Housing Service: Deliver a comprehensive and integrated housing service to tenants and leasehold customers, working collaboratively with other teams, councillors, and Tenants & Residents Associations.
Legal and Contractual Compliance: Ensure that the Council fulfills its legal and contractual obligations to tenants and leaseholders, providing a proactive and customer-focused housing management service.
Estate Management: Act as a regular and visible presence on estates, taking necessary actions to ensure they are safe and well-maintained.

Provide advice, information, and reports on any housing management matters.
Community Sustainability: Work towards achieving sustainable tenancies in sustainable communities, fostering positive relationships within the community and promoting a sense of belonging.
Vulnerable Residents Offer: Support the Neighbourhood Housing Team in delivering the Vulnerable Residents Offer, ensuring that the needs of vulnerable residents are met effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a housing management role.

  • Knowledge of legal and contractual obligations in housing.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to housing management.
