Location: Remote - Somerset
Contract: Temporary (3 months initial)
Rate: £17ph umbrella - 37hr per week
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description
Service Care Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Somerset for a Finance Officer on a temporary basis.

This is a fully remote position but must be worked from the UK.

The Finance Officer will be required to support the Finance Manager with the delivery of financial service to a directorate.

This will include salary monitoring, inputting journals, investigating miscodes, correcting actual spend, attending budget meetings with Finance Manager (on occasions).

Providing ad-hoc information as required, liaising with other finance team members to resolve queries.

Candidate Criteria

  • AAT Part Qualified or Equivalent

  • Experience within a finance environment within a Local Authority/Government is essential

  • Experience of salary monitoring, inputting journals and budget work

  • Great communication and IT skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
