This hospital provides a wide range of services including Surgery, Medicine, Oncology, Plastic and Cosmetic surgery, and Paediatrics.

They are continually introducing new technology to ensure they provide the best experience for patients and support for their hard working teams and have just opened 2 additional purpose built theatres

As the Pharmacy Manager your key responsibilities include:



  • The provision of an exemplary pharmacy service, in accordance with current legislation, clinical requirements and accepted professional and ethical standards

  • To advise and support to consultants, other clinicians and patients whilst ensuring the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines

  • Be responsible for leading, motivating and effectively managing the pharmacy team by providing excellent leadership

  • To advise on the safe management of medicines to the hospital and its departments, whilst staying compliant with current legislation and professional standards

  • Lead on quality improvement projects and audit within pharmacy with the aim of instilling a continuous learning culture within the team

  • Promoting a patient focused multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of an efficient, high quality healthcare service



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Clinical Diploma or equivalent clinical pharmacist experience

  • Experience in a management role, carrying out staff appraisal, development and training

  • Familiarity with electronic stock control systems

  • Policy, procedure and/or guideline development experience

  • Audit and data analysis experience

  • Budgetary and Change management experience

  • Business case development experience



The successful Pharmacy Manager will receive an excellent salary up to £60,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
