A client within the Public Sector based in Oxfordshire is currently recruiting for a Flood Risk Engineer to join their team as soon as possible.

The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to ensure that the funding allocated to the LLFA is used in the most effective way to address flood risk.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Work with internal and external partners to identify areas of flooding and develop a pipeline of small scale works to address these.


• Use the mapped existing flood risk areas across the city from information held by the LLFA / Districts / Highways / Water Companies.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require a Level 6 Qualification a related subject.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Substantial experience, and demonstrable skill, in managing projects to deliver to timescales/deadlines in a local government context and in collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
  
  


• Substantial knowledge, and demonstrating application of policies, standards and legislation relating to the LLFA function.
  
  

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £24.05 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
