Key Responsibilities:

, Investigate historical and recent cases within the Department of Professional Standards (DPS) where Police Officers or Police Staff members are alleged to have been involved in Domestic Abuse or Sexual Misconduct offenses.
, Prepare comprehensive Briefing Notes and reports for review by NPCC Officers and senior stakeholders.
, Conduct re-investigations as directed by the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO).

Essential Criteria:

, Possess Management Vetting & Security Clearance (MV/SC) at the required level.
, Demonstrate prior investigative experience.
, Exhibit recent experience in a public protection environment.
, Display a flexible approach to work with strong prioritisation skills.
, Demonstrate excellent report writing and written communication skills.
, Be proficient in IT, with a strong command and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
, Possess a deep understanding of Police Conduct Regulations, Police Reform Act, Police (Complaints and Misconduct) Regulations, and Police (Performance) Regulations.

Desirable Criteria:

, Previous experience in handling complaints and misconduct cases.
, Experience in safeguarding practices.
, Background in intelligence.
, Completed SOIT Training (Sexual Offenses Investigation Techniques).
, Experience with Sapphire training and casework.
, Proven track record in working on complex investigations.
