Job Title: Head of People (HR)
Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday
Type: Permanent
Location: Southwark, SE1
Salary : £82,000 Per annum
Our client are looking for an experienced Head of People provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure maximisation of peoples potential to support the delivery of the organisation missions and vision.
The role is part of the senior management team working closely with the Executive Team in proactively contributing to the development and implementation of the corporate plan & objectives.
You will be responsible for Managing 4 direct reports - 2 x Senior HR Advisors 1 x Internal Recruiter 1 x Learning and Development Coordinator
Job Role -
- Develop and drive the people agenda through understanding the business organisational structure, culture, customers, financials, and challenges
- Work as part of the senior management team to drive the overall success of the business through a clearly articulated and actionable people plan aligned with business needs
- Develop and deliver cost effective and value-added HR (Human Resources) initiatives and solutions that will increase employee engagement and retention
- Shape and evolve the employer brand, ensuring the client achieves a great place to work status for talent attraction and retention
- Provide sound strategic counsel on organisational design and development, ensuring robust planning and on-boarding of key strategic roles in line with agreed organisation design principles
- Develop and implement appropriate employee engagement plans on the back of best employer awards actions plans, engagement survey plans, working in partnership with business leaders and employee representatives to ensure effective communication of results and initiatives are established through strong understanding of key engagement drivers and feedback.
Candidate Requirements -
- Extensive experience of working at senior HR Leadership or demonstrable experience of working as a business partner with board, executives and senior managers
- Track record of building excellent relationships and credibility with senior business leaders based on solid organisational understanding
- Demonstrable experience of developing and driving on HR strategy/agenda with success
- Sound familiarity and experience with HR specialist disciplines and how to best leverage these - ranging from talent management, recruitment, performance management, organisational design, and development, pay and benefits to learning and development
- Outstanding ability to lead people with a clear commitment and passion for coaching and developing others
Qualifications -
- Relevant HR or business-related degree or post graduate qualification
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Chartered CIPD membership or FCIPD membership desirable
