Senior IT Support Engineer

This is a new role based on business expansion.

You would be joining a small team, providing 1st, 2nd & 3rd line support to the group’s businesses, covering 275 Endpoints over 12 domains. 

To be successful as the Senior IT Support Engineer, you’ll need to be an expert in MS Office Suite, inc.

M365 Administration, Azure AD & Mimecast and have great customer service skills!

The Position

As the Senior IT Support Engineer, you will need significant commercial experience in a broad range of Windows environments. 

• Windows Server 2008R2 – 2022 inc.

VMWare Clusters & Hyper-V virtualised environments together with Onsite and Veeam Cloud Backup – VMWare knowledge needs to at a high level. 

• Windows Desktop W7Pro-W11 Pro – must be competent in PC rebuilds from scratch.

• Exceptional knowledge of MS Office Suite inc.

M365 Administration, Azure AD & Mimecast

• An in-depth understanding and strong skills in Active Directory, Profiles, DHCP, DNS and IP based networks is essential. 

• Telephone – a strong background in inhouse and hosted PBX required. 

• You will have demonstrable experience of Firewalls/Routers/Switches (ideally Watchguard & HPE) Firewalls/Web Filtering/Anti-Virus, ADSL/Leased Lines, RDS/TS Server, SAN/NAS, Back-up and disaster recovery, UPS procedures and HP/Lexmark LaserJet printer support.

• Proven experience of Profile & PowerShell scripting experience.

• LAN Cat5e/6 Structured cabling installation skills would be advantageous. 

• Any demonstratable experience in Cyber Security methodologies and MDR solutions would be a plus.

• Experience in Microsoft SQL administration would be an advantage.
