Estate Services Team Leader

Service Care Solutions have an exciting position for an Estate Service Team Leader to join a local authority within the North London area Responsible for the management of a team of Estate Services Operatives, management and performance monitoring of the caretaking & cleaning functions on housing estates & supported housing schemes including liaison with other council staff and contractors to provide a clean and pleasant environment for residents on estates.

Working hours - 36 per week

Pay - £21.96 Umbrella per hour

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying the Caretaking and Cleaning needs of any and all areas.

  • Plan and programme the work of the Estate Operatives/Mobile Services Team and allocate daily duties.

  • Design and develop programmes of work to ensure that floors, lifts, walls and other estate facilities are cleaned, maintained and inspected regularly and efficiently.

  • Order and monitor budgets for local materials, equipment, protective clothing, and for the secure storage of the items.

  • Partake in staff recruitment processes.

  • Effective management of the operatives within the team including performance monitoring.

  • Worker management to include staff rota, holiday requests, sick leave and escalating to manager where required.

  • Provide high level of service to all individuals associated with the council.

  • Working with contractors and liaising where appropriate to ensure quality delivery of works.

  • Attend meetings including out of hours.

For this role, we are seeking candidates with experience in supervising, have a Cleaning/Caretaking background and Full UK Driving License.

An Enhanced DBS Check will be carried out for this role.
