Job title: Adaptations Surveyor
Location: North West Area
Contract Type: Temp
Salary: £36,000 per annum

Our client based in the North West area is looking for a Adaptations Surveyor to join their team on a initial 3 month temporary basis.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Contribute to the implementation of both minor and major modifications across 36 Local Authorities.


• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to assess and offer guidance on project feasibility.


• Engage with all relevant stakeholders, providing technical counsel to ensure the seamless provision of required services.


• Participate in the examination of pre-contract documentation, attend pre-contract meetings, and highlight potential future risks.


• Conduct regular on-site visits for projects managed, as well as those managed and delivered by the Local Authority.
  
  Attend site meetings to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and regulatory commitments.


• Continuously oversee on-site work, ensuring alignment with Contractors' Method Statements and the Construction Health and Safety Plan.


• Generate and issue routine reports on site progress, encompassing contract variation instructions, quality and compliance inspections, handover progress, and Health & Safety assessments.


• Prepare for and participate in snagging inspections, offering guidance to Adaptation Coordinators.


• Handle Certificates of Completion, create schedules of defects, and ensure their rectification before the expiration of defect allowances.

The Candidate
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Demonstrate sound knowledge of Planning & Building Regulations requirements / procedures, disabled access, CDM, and Health & Safety Legislation.


• Experience in the delivery of aids and adaptations works / disability facilities grant works


• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and able to travel across the region as required
