Job role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Investigatory Enforcement Officer to join our dynamic Trading Standards Service in Nottinghamshire.

Our service plays a vital role in protecting local communities from fraudulent trading practices, including doorstep crime, car clocking, and scams.

Nottinghamshire Trading Standards is known for its high levels of recognition locally, regionally, and nationally.

We are proud to host the National Trading Standards Regional Investigations Team for the East Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the team to protect local communities from fraudulent trading practices.


• Support key initiatives aimed at combatting doorstep crime, car clocking, and scams.


• Collaborate with the National Trading Standards Regional Investigations Team.


• Apply innovative and problem-solving approaches to protect our communities.


• Engage in major investigations and scams work.


• Provide support to businesses through our dedicated commercial team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Substantial proven experience in an investigatory enforcement role, preferably related to trading standards or a similar field.


• Comprehensive knowledge of legal procedural legislation and associated matters.


• Demonstrated knowledge of legislation relating to fraud, conspiracy, aiding and abetting, Proceeds of Crime Act, criminal attempts, and related offences.


• Enthusiastic team player with the ability to adapt to changing situations and challenges.
