We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Officer to join our team in Camden on a full-time temporary ongoing basis.

The Service Officer will provide a front line housing management service to residents in sheltered accommodation.

This role involves on site working across two schemes in Camden, therefore the ideal candidate will be local to this area.

Please note that this role requires a full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role, working closely with homelessness and/or sheltered accommodation


• Previous experience in tenancy management, including conducting audits


• Knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures surrounding Tenancy management


• Knowledge of building health and safety issues


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written


• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines


• Knowledge of the Welfare Benefit system


• Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle

Role Expectations

• Arrange and manage viewings and tenancy sign ups


• Overall tenancy management


• Identify and report communal repairs, and dwelling repairs where necessary


• Advise customers on all eligible benefits, and complete income and expenditure exercises with them


• Conduct weekly Health and Safety checks, and site Health and Safety inspection


• Maintain Records: Accurately record all interactions, assessments, and decisions in line with relevant policies and procedures, ensuring confidentiality and data protection guidelines are strictly followed


• Develop working relationships with colleagues, as well as key partners


• Liaise with external partners, including local authorities and support agencies, and ensure effective service is delivered
