Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist for a Permanent opportunity supporting our established client in the Staffordshire area.

Our client is a leading provider of private Mental Health care within the UK.

This is a full-time opportunity with 37.5 hours per week available.

The 70-bedded service provides specialist treatment, rehabilitation and complex care for Adults with a range of Neurological conditions including prolonged disorder of consciousness and tracheostomy care, slow stream neurorehabilitation, neurobehavioral and neuro palliative.

The unit

Job Purpose: Occupational Therapist

Salary: £27,055-£32,934 per annum + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus

Location: Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

Contract: Full-time | 37.5 Hours

The post holder will work as part of the Occupational Therapy Team responsible for the assessment and management of residents.
Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and implementing individual and group interventions collaboratively with patient/s.
  
  


• Complex discharge planning, casting and splinting, assessing occupational performance as well as cognition and behaviour and assessing those in prolonged disorders of consciousness to identify level of awareness and compiling appropriate treatment plans Actively implementing evidence-based practice.


• Maintaining accurate patient records, including care notes, written reports and discharge summaries in accordance with service and Occupational Therapy professional standards.


• Establish effective communication with patients and their carers, all staff and other agencies.


• Implement and develop evidence-based therapeutic activities to aid neurological rehabilitation

• HCPC Registration


• Occupational Therapy Qualification

• Substantial experience working within a similar setting
