Contracting Authority: Magnox

Contract Length: 12 months

Location: Dungeness - 4 day week

Security Clearance: BPSS Basic

Pay Rate to Candidate: PAYE: £17.20-£19.04/hour, Umbrella: £23.13-£25.59/hour

Minimum Requirement:

• Carries out core maintenance duties within his/her own level of demonstrated competence.


• Carries out operational tasks within scope and competence and assists with fault investigations.


• Provides technical support to current and future project design and implementation.


• The post holder may be required to fulfil a role in the Site Emergency Scheme.


• As a customer-focused individual, the post holder will be expected to support delivery within his or her range of skills, knowledge, experience, and competence.


• The post holder may be required to carry out identified roles as necessary.


• Complies with the Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and risk assessments.


• Supports the continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality on Site.


• Supports colleagues' learning and development through knowledge sharing, task instruction, etc.

Skills:

• Relevant experience in a technical area.


• Instrumental experience.


• Appropriate technical qualification e.g., City and Guilds, BTEC ONC (NQF Level 3).


• Appreciation of RSA and IRR requirements - desirable.


• Plant Operations in areas assigned - desirable.


• Experience of working in the Nuclear Industry - desirable.

Please note, Magnox covers the cost of the training for Candidates for Triple Bar.

Without the completed course record, the candidate will not be granted site access, and their start date will have to be moved.

Candidates are not required to complete the training again if they already have a valid certificate in place.

The Client should have access to the certificate, or the Candidate should provide the copy.


Drugs & Alcohol Testing & DBS Check:
Please note, the candidate MUST cover the cost of any Drugs & Alcohol testing, as well as a DBS check prior to starting onsite.

The candidate will not be reimbursed for these fees.

Without these completed, the candidate will not be granted site access, and their start date will have to be moved.
