Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are recruiting for a Contracts Lawyer on a contract basis.

ROLE: Contracts & Procurement Lawyer
LOCATION: South East London
RATE: £36.66 to £41.66 per hour
CONTRACT: 3 months ongoing 36 hours per week

Please note that this role would require hybrid working arrangements.

The Role of the Contracts Lawyer

• To provide expert general and bespoke drafting and advice work across the Contracts & Procurement team


• To progress matters such as IT contracts, consultancy contracts, works/JCT contracts, collaboration, Grants, FOI, GDPR and Subsidy Control


• The role will include providing legal advice and input in relation to decision-making powers and reports under the Councils Contract Procedure Rules and Constitution

The Person

• A Solicitor / Legal Executive / Barrister with a minimum of 12 months PQE


• Experienced in dealing with public law procurement and commercial contract


• Previous working experience at a local authority would be highly beneficial
