Our client, a leading local council based in the heart of North London is currently enhancing a well driven Building Control team by adding a Structural Engineer as soon as possible.

This role is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within building control services previously with an extended knowledge of Inspection of highway structures and refurbishment projects.

The Role

Working on a number of complex projects whilst being a reliable support to the structural engineering manager to enable delivery of cost effective, customer focused building control service.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Inspecting, monitoring and reporting on remedial works to defective building structures


• Carry out design and site investigations for new works and refurbishment projects


• Carry out risk assessments on all relevant projects

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require a degree in civil or Structural Engineering with the ability to produce good quality work within the fee scale on programme and within cost.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £27 - £28 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
