Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a Legal 500 firm based in East London who are seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor to join their team.

ROLE: Court of Protection Solicitor
LOCATION: East London
PQE: 3 to 6 years' PQE
SALARY: £40,000 to £50,000 DOE

The Role of the Court of Protection Solicitor

• To manage and progress a full caseload of matters in relation to Court of Protection and Community Care work


• To represent clients who are applying to the Court of Protection as well as others who are a party to the proceedings and family members of those lacking capacity


• To assist with applications for Deputyship and Lasting Power of Attorney and advise when such applications are appropriate

The Person

• A qualified Court of Protection Solicitor ideally between 3 and 6 years' PQE although this can be flexible


• It is essential that you have experience of full working range of community care and Court of Protection law


• Experience of judicial review work and representation in the Court of Protection is essential


• Understanding and previous dealing with Legal Aid matters would also be highly advantageous for this position
