Occupational Therapist

An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Cheadle, Greater Manchester area.

The hospital is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence across 11 wards which include a speciality eating disorder service, CAMHS, rehabilitation, acute and PICU services

As the Occupational Therapist your key responsibilities include:



  • Providing assessment and treatment of a designated case load within the frame work of an established rehabilitation programme

  • Applying patient-centred principles to assessment, intervention and evaluation

  • Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy process in line with sound evidence based practice

  • Participation in MDT, CPA, case conferences, referral meetings and nursing handover

  • Ongoing development of skills and knowledge, through participation in CPD and Professional Development Planning

  • Line-management and supervision of a part-time Technical Instructor



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Proven experience in mental health and knowledge of the Mental Health Act

  • Patient centric & commitment to delivering high quality care

  • Fine tuned decision making skills

  • Excellent organisational capability

  • Effective communication skills



The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £30,000 - £33,000 per annum DOE.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working up to 37.5 hours a week.
