Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a bustling local authority, based in Leicestershire, which is in need of a dynamic Childcare Solicitor to join their legal care team.

This role requires someone who is keen on doing their own advocacy.

ROLE: Childcare Solicitor (will consider Legal Executives and Barristers)

LOCATION: Leicestershire - the managers will consider remote working for the right candidate

RATE: £50.00 to £55.00 per hour

CONTRACT: 3 months ongoing, 37 hours per week

The Role of the Childcare Solicitor:

• To progress a full matters of childcare cases through to completion


• The social care cases will include PLO cases, Discharge of Care Orders, Supervision orders, S37 cases and SGO's


• Conduct your own advocacy (this may be in-person)

The Person:

• A qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive / Barrister with 2+ years of PQE


• Recent advocacy experience


• Experience in dealing with public childcare law matters would be essential


• Previous public sector experience would be essential (even in a Paralegal capacity)
