A client within the Public Sector based in Kent is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Surveyor to join their surveying team as soon as possible.

The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to ensure that the clients homes meet the client's standards and Regulations by carrying out technical assessments and checking completed works are to a good quality and the correct standards.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Carry out the technical assessment of contractor's plans and check completed works are of good quality and to the correct standard.
  
  


• Carry out inspections, identify appropriate remedial works including damp inspections.
  
  


• Liaise with specialists and insurers as required on structural works to ensure the Associations losses are mitigated.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Relevant construction experience including a sound knowledge of building defects and regulations preferably to degree level.


• Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations.


• Proven project management experience.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £27.49 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
