Lead Occupational Therapist
An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Lead Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital setting based in the Edmonton, London area.
You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This is a special hospital which provides a full care pathway including medium secure and low secure units, along with an acute wing.
The full multidisciplinary team works with males who have a diagnosis of mental illness and associated challenging behaviours

*To be considered for this position you must have an Occupational Therapy Degree and registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)

As the Lead Occupational Therapist your key duties include:
- Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and encourage the service users to be fully engaged in their care pathway
- To support clinical team working, including both direct interventions and the delivery of staff training programmes
- Attend any meetings called by the Therapy Lead, and will develop therapies (and make any changes to the therapy provision)
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- To be able to work therapeutically, engaging people in developing insight and coping skills to manage their complex needs
- Experience in supervising and managing junior members of the team
- To operate within professional boundaries and in line with the RCOT/HCPC Code of Conduct at all times
- Experience of working within the specialised area i.e.
Mental Health services
The successful Lead Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £38,000 - £44,000 per annum.
This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
