Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority who are seeking a newly qualified Childcare Lawyer to join their team on a contract basis.

ROLE: Childcare Lawyer
LOCATION: South East London
RATE: £28.00 to £35.00 per hour
CONTRACT: 3 months ongoing, 35 hours per week

Please note that this position would require office attendance 2 days per week.

The Role of the Childcare Lawyer

• To assist the Senior Solicitors in progressing full matters of childcare cases through to completion


• The social care cases will include PLO cases, Discharge of Care Orders, Supervision orders, S37 cases and SGO's


• To undertake the occasional adult law cases when necessary

The Person

• A qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive with around NQ to 2 years' PQE


• Experience in dealing with public childcare law matters would be essential


• Previous public sector experience would be essential (even in a Paralegal capacity)
