Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a borough council, based in Surrey, which is in need of an experienced Legal Practice Manager to provide comprehensive commercial, resource-planning and administrative assistance within their Legal Services team.

ROLE: Legal Practice Manager

LOCATION: Borough council in Surrey - hybrid working

RATE: £45-£55ph

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 month rolling

The role of a Legal Practice Manager:

• Be responsible for the administrative duties involved in the running of the case management and time recording system used by staff within the council's Legal Services


• Act as the general day-to-day point of contact for client officers, Members and Council customers


• Monitor invoicing and budgets relating to the Legal Services


• Any other duties deemed necessary by the Deputy Monitoring Officer for the successful running of the team

The person:

• Ideally someone who has been a Legal Practice Manager at a local authority previously


• Experience of using a case management and time recording system within a Legal Services


• Have the ability to monitor progress of legal work carried out b external solicitors and council


• Education to ‘A' level or equivalent
